El jamaiquino Robbie Lyn fue músico sesionista de bandas como Now Generation, Sound Dimension, Word, Sound and Power y Sly and Robbie. Además participó como parte de la backing band de Burning Spear, Peter Tosh, Dennis Brown, Third World, entre otros, durante sus giras. Por "Making Notes" ganó el premio al mejor disco instrumental de la Reggae Academy Award en 2008
